Highline Classic Jazz Festival Returns to Burien Sept. 19

The Highline Classic Jazz Festival--Burien’s all-day jazz party--returns to Burien on September 19 after three years in Des Moines.

The Festival has been transformed into a community-based affordable party—more bands for less money.

Six downtown Burien and Olde Burien venues will throw open their doors to host vintage and classic jazz and blues bands. Some will provide space for dancing. The Tin Theatre will show vintage jazz films with an Introduction and Question and Answer session.

For a family-friendly ticket price of only $20, patrons will receive a hand stamp that entitles them to admission to all venues. The jazz spots are all within easy walking distance.

Highline Classic Jazz Festival is the only festival in the central Puget Sound area specializing in early 20th century jazz. Hear Dixieland, Hot Jazz, Trad Jazz, Swing, Big Band, Western Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Zydeco, Cool Jazz, ballads, Blues, Latin Jazz and more.

Watch for more information as the date gets closer.
